Matthew provides 13 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on operations—assisting others within the firm and delivering a first class experience to all registered representatives, financial advisors and the DAI team. Prior to joining DAI, Matthew worked in operations for a small broker dealer in Michigan before moving to a larger firm where he was director of operations and managed the budget and the profit and loss for the branch. He later moved to another independent broker dealer where his focus was on leadership and bringing together isolated departments to grow and increase the service model provided to all registered representatives and financial advisors. While Matthew was with this firm, he also worked to redesign the technology platform to provide better reporting and tracking of business as well as streamlining the experience of using the platform for all registered representatives and financial advisors. He later worked for a smaller independent broker dealer in California where his focus was on due diligence—learning the process and delivering a positive experience through a proactive approach to create a strong set of offerings and providing case studies with registered representatives on each product and how they would fit their clients needs.

Matthew is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Astrophysics, including defending his thesis to professors, Ph.D candidates and graduate students. He currently holds Series 7, 63, 24, Life Accident and Health and Property Casualty licenses.

In his spare time, Matthew enjoys CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting. He is an avid scuba diving instructor.
