Chief Investment Officer

Tim’s focus on investment research and due diligence spans over a quarter of century. During the first decade, he was as an equity analyst at a NYSE-member broker-dealer. His universe of coverage included data networking companies during the infancy of the internet. His work resulted in being ranked a Wall Street Journal All-Star Analyst for the performance of his stock recommendations.

After exploring various alternative investments and realizing their potential benefits to investor portfolios, along with meaningful tax benefits, he shifted his focus to that asset class. He is passionate about finding attractive investments and understanding the key opportunities and risks each offer.  Tim’s desire is to serve DAI’s financial professionals well by being accessible and responsive to their needs.

Tim is a member of both the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA) and the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA). While at former firm, ADISA recognized his contribution to the alternative investment industry by awarding that broker-dealer the association’s ACE Award (A Champion of Excellence).

Tim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Moody Bible Institute and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. He holds Series 7, 24, 86, 87, 16, 79, 63 and 65 licenses.

Tim has also had the privilege of serving as a Legislative Director at the United States House of Representatives during the 113th Congress.

Tim enjoys spending time with his wife Cheryl and their three children and sailing.
